Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated, experienced and capable solicitor to join our general practice law firm, reporting to our Director, Jane Signal. The successful candidate will handle a diverse range of legal matters, including:
- Property law: Residential, commercial, and farm conveyancing, as well as leasing.
- Estate administration, trust administration, and succession planning.
- Private client work, including Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and relationship property.
- Other areas may include mental health advocacy, PPPR (Protection of Personal and Property Rights) work, and other advocacy (e.g., employment issues) as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain regular communication with the Director to update on file progress and address any issues.
- Ensure consistent billing practices in consultation with the Directors.
- Deliver high-standard legal work and meet deadlines.
- Actively participate in team efforts to ensure the smooth operation of the firm.

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Be qualified to practice law in New Zealand and ideally have at least three years post qualification experience in some of the areas listed above. (N.B. This role is not suitable for graduate lawyers).
- Have strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Be proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering exceptional client service.
